A s reported on Tuesday by D aily Sun , the good run of the Super Eagles in past four weeks has paradoxically brought the fortunes of the team down rather than improve on it. That was the highlight of the monthly FIFA ranking released yesterday as Nigeria slumped in ranking from 33 to 36 with a 14 point loss from the last month’s 724 points.
In effect, the 2-0 defeat of Ethiopia and the 2-2 draw with three time World Cup holders, Italy as well as the 1-0 loss of Nigeria’s team B to Jordan brought mystery to the fortunes of the country in the monthly rating.
