Former State Director of the NDLEA in Borno state, Mr Hatsiwa Bwala has been shot dead by unknown gunmen in his home town in Ngwa ward in Hawul LGA of the state, Adamawa.
The incident which took place around 2pm on Friday has left many people in apprehension, as they have never seen such since the Boko Haram insurgency started in the state.
A source close to the Governor, Alhaji Kashim Shettima in a text message to our Correspondent said, the assailants trailed the deceased to his home town on Friday and shot him dead.
He added that, Late Bwala was before his untimely death, served as the Director of NDLEA in Borno state during Ali Modu Sheriif's tenure as Governor.
As at the time of filing in this report the Police Commissioner, Mr. Yuguda Abdullahi and his Police Public Relations Officer, Gideon Jubrin could not be.
