Put your trust in God,Pastor Kumuyi urges Nigerians

General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor William Kumuyi has advised Christians and Nigerians in general to repose absolute trust in God in per-plexing situation. This, according to him, is the recipe for over-coming security-related challenges, which have the capacity to boggle the mind of the feeble mind-ed.

Drawing inspiration from Psalm 91, Pastor Kumuyi said the possession of an unflagging and abiding relationship in God, is a sure way to overcome every dire and intriguing problems.

"Don't run away from where God has placed you. Focus on God and God will also focus on you. When you are abiding continuously in Christ, neither Satan nor his angels can ever touch you for the promises of God affirm wholesome deliverance for all abiding believers", Pastor Kumuyi further remarked.

The GS further admonished Christians to strive to appropriate the fullness that God has made avail-able through Jesus Christ, stressing this as the fitting antidote to the multifarious challenges con-fronting mankind.

Addressing thousands of participants at the church's December retreat at the church, DLCC on Lagos-Ibadan Express-way, Kumuyi pointedly declared that failure to tap into the full redemption and covenant benefits through Christ, has cast a needless limitation on believers in particular and mankind in general.

Speaking on a topic: "Identification with Christ," the man of God declared that all Christians, crucified, buried and risen with Christ should possess the unflagging capacity to realise, reckon and receive the abundant blessings God has deposited in Christ.

According to Pastor Kumuyi, faith is the key ingredient to walking successfully with God and living a life pleasing unto Him.

He also stressed the need for believers to pattern their lives after Christ, noting that "as Christ is a conqueror and an overcomer, so must we be in the world. As Children of God, every-thing that Christ possess-es is ours – His victory, His wealth, His prosperity, His health, His power and authority, all belong to us."

The national retreat with the theme; "All round security in Christ", held in all the 744 local government areas of the country. It also held simultaneously in Europe, America, Asia and other parts of the world and was attended by members from Lagos area including Epe, Ikorodu and Badagry.
