Namadi’s Daughters Wedding Shuts Kaduna Down For Hours

Kaduna state yesterday witnessed a total shut down as dignitaries from all walks of life converged on the ancient crocodile city for the wedding fatiha of two daughters of Nigeria's number 2 citizen, Arc. Namadi Sambo.
From the venue of the wedding fatiha at the Sultan Bello Mosque to the Ahmadu Bello Square, where the wedding reception was held, stern looking security men cordoned off all the roads while VIPs were thoroughly frisked before being allowed in to witness both events thus causing heavy traffic in many parts of the town and causing untold hardships on members of the public.
Armed troops in vans with wailing sirens drove menacingly through the major streets of Kaduna with panicky residents staying indoors for most of the day.
Governors, ministers, senators and other very important guests from within and outside the country were in attendance prominent among whom were former military head of state, Ibrahim Babangida.
