Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the 26-year old man who allegedly pushed a UNILAG female student he met on Facebook through the window of a multi-story building, following a refusal of his love advances, maybe prosecuted and this is according to the police in Lagos.
CSP Fayoade Adegoke, The Divisional Police Officer of Bar Beach, Victoria Island, Lagos, told the News Agency of Nigeria on Thursday, that the young man (name withheld) might be charged with attempted murder.
The DPO, however, said that the parents of the suspect and the victim were engaged in reconciliatory talks over the matter.
Informationnigeria.org earlier reported that 21-year-old Akabugu Nkiruka, sustained multiple injuries, including a fractured pelvis, and is undergoing treatment at the General Hospital, Marina, Lagos, following the November 1 incident at the family home of the suspect at 1004 Estate, Victoria Island, Lagos.
