Girl Hit With Stray Bullet On The Head: JTF Offers Sympathy

A Brigade of the Joint Taskforce (JTF), Port Harcourt, has vowed to bring to justice, perpetrators of the alleged shooting of a commercial bus at the Agip Roundabout in Port Harcourt which has left one of two affected victims hanging between life and death with a bullet in the head.
According to witnesses on the Wednesday incident, soldiers were responsible for the alleged shooting following a reported scuffle with a commercial bus driver at the busy Mile 4 neighbourhood in the Rivers capital city.
Major Michael Etete, Spokesperson for the 2 Brigade in a statement said, "The Brigade sympathises with those injured during the incident and investigation to unravel the surrounding circumstances has commenced."
The JTF expressed sympathy for the injured victims, but however stated that it was hasty to hold the army responsible based on a reported preliminary police report indicating that the "soldiers at the location did not fire their rifles as their ammunitions were complete."
Major Etete also said that the Brigade would do everything in its power to get to the root of the matter and bring the perpetrators to book.
