Capital One: Ferguson Wishes Referee In Wednesday Tie Against Chelsea “Good Luck”

Following their Sunday explosive encounter and the subsequent allegation of racist slur by referee Mark Clattenburg against some Chelsea players, Sir Alex Ferguson has wished referee Lee Mason “good luck” in Wednesday’s League Cup tie between Manchester United and Chelsea.
The fall-out from United’s thrilling victory on Sunday is set to continue beyond Wednesday’s game, when the Premier League’s top two will meet for the second time in a week.
With the spotlight beamed on the centre official, Ferguson has wished “Good luck to the referee,” when asked if he had a message for him.
All eyes will be on the man with the whistle after Clattenburg dismissed Branislav Ivanovic and Fernando Torres on Sunday before allowing Hernandez’s goal to stand despite the United striker appearing to be offside.
It is expected to be another hot-blooded clash, although both teams will ring changes to their starting line-ups.
In tonight’s League Cup fixture, the following teams will be trading tackles:
Leeds United Vs Southampton (19:45)
Reading Vs Arsenal (19:45)
Sunderland Vs Middlesbrough (19:45)
Swindon Vs Aston Villa (19:45)
Wigan Athletic Vs Bradford City (19:45)
