Student Arrested With Pistol, 82 Bullets

Men of Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), Lagos State Police Command, have arrested a self-acclaimed undergraduate of a university in the southeast alleged to be a member of an 11-man robbery gang. The police said they recovered a pistol and 82 bullets from him.
The suspect, Nnagbo Emeka John, 23, who claimed to be a 100-level student of the Department of Education Foundation of the institution, said he came to Lagos to visit his friend (name withheld), who lodged him in a hotel at Mazamaza near Mile 2 in Lagos.
He stated that his friend asked him out one night but the outing ended up as a robbery operation.  On the same day, he confessed that the gang carried out four operations within Lagos and Ogun states.
The suspect, according to the police, was arrested in a bushy area at Ejigbo, Lagos on 19 August, where he and other members of the gang had allegedly gone to share their loot.
During his arrest an English pistol and 82 live ammunition were found on him.
Speaking to our men, a source at the SARS said: “While armed with one AK47, one English pistol and two locally-made pistols, they robbed a hotel in Lagos. They also robbed at Akute, Ogun state and came back to Lagos on the same day to rob two popular hotels at Mafoluku, Oshodi.
“The suspect was arrested after they had shared their loot, while nine other members of the gang who were from Ogun state went back to their base.  The suspect, who was not familiar with the state was arrested while his friend escaped.”
Nnagbo, who claimed to be ignorant of his friend’s business said: “I came to Lagos on 8 August, for holiday, to see a friend who is also from my village. He lodged me in a hotel at old Ojo Road, Mazamaza. He never told me that he was into armed robbery; he only told me that he sells fridge spare parts.
“On 19 August, he told me that we shall be going out with some friends.  As we entered his friends’ car,  I saw a police gun (AK47). I started shivering but he told me that I should not worry, that they would not kill me.
“We first robbed at a hotel in Lagos. Because I do not know Lagos, I do not know the name of the place. We later moved to Akute, Ogun state, where we robbed a man in his house and collected his Lexus Jeep and some other valuables. Then we came back to Lagos and robbed two hotels.
“On that day I was not with a stable mind, as I was not comfortable but my friend told me not to worry. I was arrested after they had shared the loot and nine other gang members from Ogun state had gone back.
“I was not given anything from the loot. They said it was my first operation and I did not participate actively; and that my friend should give me part of his share. The pistol and the ammunition were kept in my bag by my friend who escaped when policemen accosted us and arrested me.”
The officer in-charge of the squad, Mr. Abba Kyari, a Superintendent of Police, said the suspect will be charged to court as soon as investigation is completed.
In a related incident, the State Investigation Bureau,(SIB), Lagos, has arrested 18 suspected armed robbers at a notorious brothel, popularly called Agbole, in Ejigbo area, Lagos State Southwest Nigeria.
The police recovered 82 live ammunitions, 0.9mm, four AK47 rifles, one baretta American pistol, two digital cameras and 16 mobile phones from the suspects.
A source said their arrest followed a tip off to the police by  residents of the area who suspected the activities of criminals who were using the place as a hideout and a take off base.
It was learnt that the police stormed the place last Thursday and arrested those smoking indian hemp, gambling, prostitution and others.
we gathered that when the police searched some rooms rented by the prostitutes, they discovered some arms and live ammunition and valuable items suspected to have been stolen from victims.
Investigations also revealed that the police knew that the place has been existing for long and they thrived because the owners of the Pako brothel used to bribe the police daily.
Our findings revealed that some police officers attached to Rapid Response Squard, RRS, usually trooped to the area to collect bribe  on daily basis.
A source disclosed that the officers who usually visited in batches,  usually sign a record book provided by the hotel management to collect either N500 or N1,000 per batch.
He said each time they refused to give the police money, they usually threatened the operators of the brothel that their girls will be arrested.
“They always come here to collect money from us.  Often times, even RRS from Ikeja  come  and we give them N500  per group.
“At times, four or six teams come and  collect money from us daily.
“Each time we refuse to give them money, they  arrest our girls and other customers,”  he said.
The source claimed that they do not sell indian hemp, saying that some of the customers who usually come to the place  to patronise them smoke marijuana and they have to allow them in order to do their business.

Bishop David Oyedepo: Son Of God Or What?

That some followers of some acclaimed men of God are often misled by what their pastors preach is a fact.

The way these followers get carried away and over glory their pastors in recent time is becoming a topical issue in Christian environment.

This manner, no doubt, leaves one to wonder the kind of anointing their pastors are possessed with, and this is starting to make one questions the doctrines of many churches in Nigeria.

Whats your take on the sticker above?

Ajimobi, Akinrinade, others point way forward for S’West

Yoruba leaders  on Thursday in Ibadan called for unity and reappraisal of the agenda for the development of the South-West.
Top traditional and political leaders from the region were present at the meeting.
Also in attendance were representatives of Yoruba from Kogi, Kwara and Delta   states.
The convener of the Yoruba Assembly, Lt. Gen. Alani Akinrinade (retd.), urged the people to set aside their political, ethnic and socio-cultural differences  to restore the pride of the region.
He said, “Today’s meeting is not to do or say anything that will detract from the unity of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. It is intended to allow us, as Yoruba sons and daughters, to rob minds on the way out of the country’s crippling underdevelopment, with special emphasis on the parlous state of affairs in the South-West.”
Lt. Gen. Alani Akinrinade (retd.)
The former Chief of Defence Staff  wondered how the South-West lost focus and relapsed into “frivolity and unhealthy sentiment”.
Akinrinade recalled that “long before Nigeria became independent in 1960, our region developed the most professional civil service under the leadership of Chief Simeon Adebo of blessed memory”.
He added, “The Yoruba were the first to officially recognise opposition in governance and provided official accommodation for leaders of opposition in the region. It is a clear sign of our philosophical commitment to plurality of perspectives.”
He, however, expressed hope that the race would retrace its way back to glory and development.
Oyo State Governor Abiola Ajimob, who spoke on behalf of other South-West governors,  regretted that the region had  failed to demonstrate boldness in addressing some of the wrongs in the land.
He said, “Our leaders should display courage and boldness so as to fight for our right as a people. The late sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, that we are talking about, displayed courage.
“Again, it is not even compulsory that we should all be in the same political party. However, those who are progressive-minded should not relent in fighting the cause that we commonly believe in.”
However, Chief Niyi Akintola (SAN), blamed the predicament of the Yoruba nation on the governors whom he alleged  “are sleeping when necessary actions in favour of the people ought to have been taken.”
The deputy Governor of Osun State, Chief Titilayo Laoye-Tomori, lamented that the Yoruba had lived for long in fruitless glory about past achievements.
She said, “It is sad that we continue to lay claim to the days of the region when our political hero, late Chief Obafemi Awolowo, put all within his reach as a leader to develop the region. What we witness today is the plastering and painting of old structures built by late Awolowo.
“We have to change our orientation as a people and embark on real development for the good of our land.”
Former Speaker, House of Representatives, Dimeji Bankole, said the call for a better Yoruba nation meant a call for a better Nigeria. He said, “We should unite as one with the mind of bringing about development. As we do this, I can say that Nigeria is being developed because we are part of the entity.”

Nollywood actor Rich Oganiru allegedly kills wife, confesses in Kuje Prison

According to what National Enquirer Magazine reported this week’s edition, Rich Oganiru`s name might not really ring a bell again but he`s one of Nollywood`s very good actors and stakeholders. In fact, he prides himself as one of the pioneering members of the Actors Guild of Nigeria and has starred in over 300 movies.
Please look at his pictures again if you`re still in doubt because he`s presently battling a murder scandal for his alleged involvement in the complicity leading to the death of a very rich Abuja based multimillionaire businesswoman believed to be his wife.
The deceased, National Enquirer gathered reliably is not his first wife, the first wife also died mysteriously years back and he was in a very poor state of life before he met the Abuja based multimillionaire who transformed his life in a matter of months.
Rich Oganiru, according to those who know him, he loves money and attention almost to a fault, aside that, he also likes blowing his own trumpet as he always praises himself, “I have starred in over 300 movies, I am the Corporate Marketing Consultant to the Abuja Chapter of AGN, a high flying Evangelist called to lead the skilled and unskilled gifted in art to realize their God`s given potentials in the Kingdom.
I am the General Overseer of Davidical Order Ministry, we discover, develop, expose, empower and evangelise musicians, actors, and artistes to be relevant in their different churches- a non denominational outreach for the entertainment industry”, his self appraisal on facebook page.
The Owerri born actor is, as you read this, swimming in a murder scandal that might have him behind bars for the rest of his life except for divine intervention. Mr. Rich, according to our own findings has featured in movies such as
Queen of Hasso Rock, Wasted Effort, Pay Day, Lacrima, Stoneface in Love, Givers Never Lack, His Majesty, Yellow Fe Rich Odichinma Azu ver, My Destiny, Battle Of The Rich, Political Control, Touching Love, Total Control, Last Confession as well as many others.
This office can exclusively disclose that the actor is presently at the homicide section of the force headquarters, Abuja where he’s being held for killing his wife, a top business woman in Abuja.
Tracing the genesis of their liaison, we gathered that the deceased met Rich Oganiru who already lost his wife and mother of his two boys at a time he was facing financially challenges and could hardly afford daily meal. Rich, our source explained was able to win the pretty woman’s heart after sweet tonguing her especially because he’s a known face who’s featured in several movies.
This, we further gathered was how the woman in a short while brought back smile to the face of the light skinned actor to the extent that, he became financially buoyant and had even started cruising one of her cars. The relationship as expected blossomed into marriage within a short period and the actor we learnt even had a traditional wedding with his supposed God sent wife. The union, we learnt however took a new dimension when Rich began to complain of his wife’s inability to get pregnant.
Meanwhile, the woman had, by this time handed over the documents of her landed properties as well as making him part of the signatories in her firm. The affair, we reliably learnt took another twist as the graduate of music, Rich started seeing a younger lover, Iyake, a calabar born undergraduate of Nassarawa State Polytechnic whose mother owns a shop in Abuja.
“He`s always hibernating everyday for hours with a young girl whose mother owns a shop at the popular area known as Food Court built by El Rufai where there are banks, it is so shameful for a man like that doting on a young girl,” the source disclosed.
While doting on a young girl outside, the actor, who the source revealed is also an ex Naval officer kept mounting pressure on his wife to get pregnant shunning the fact that the business woman was suffering from Fibroid. This, we gathered might not be far from the reason the woman had to take the decision to get the fibroid removed by all means.
Quoting the source; “It was Rich’s unnecessary pressure on the lady that made her resulted into having a fibroid operation in a private hospital in Abuja which she luckily survived but only recuperating at the hospital before she was allegedly poisoned”.
The woman, we were told, however met her untimely death few days after the surgery when her husband was said to have visited the hospital and allegedly gave her a pill without the doctor`s consent claiming that it would aid her speedy recovery, not knowing that it was poison.
The whole thing started looking suspicious when Rich who had sold some of his wife’s landed property for a church member for N2.5m requested for her death certificate. The actor we gathered claimed that he urgently needed the certificate to sort out some personal issues instead of informing the wife’s family or at least show a remorse for the irreparable loss.
In addition, the church member who bought the land, according to our source also smelled fowl play because Rich refused to have his wife’s signature on the land receipt neither did he even inform any of her family member claiming that he’s the husband and has the right to sell her land. This, we learnt informed the church member’s interest to investigate the actual cause of Rich’s wife death.
“This was how the man reported the whole land story as well as the woman’s death to her family and it was what made them involved the police before the doctor and Rich were arrested,” the source revealed.
The doctor, knowing that his hands were clean, therefore suggested an autopsy which shockingly revealed a poisonous pill in the woman’s system. The said poison we gathered was ingested between the time her husband visited the night before she died.
The nurses were also said to have saw her sleeping few minutes after Rich left not knowing that she was dead in her sleep. The actor, our source added later confessed killing his wife after much torture in police cell without any cogent reason. We also learnt that Rich is still in the police custody in Abuja while remains of his wife have been deposited in the mortuary, we shall however bring you unfolding details as events unfold.

A Must Read: Pastor Adeboye Advises Single Ladies

The Popular Man of God, Pastor Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, gave the most important advise to all single ladies. Infact, this advise is not for just single ladies alone but for single men also.

"Those of you who go to your pastor to pray for you and tell you who to marry, if care is not taken, you will become a victim of lies. You are simply lazy. No pastor or prophet should tell you who to marry.

They are to pray along with you, counsel and guide you using the Word of God. If you fail to pay the price to hear from God on that matter, you may be deceived. God can use your pastor or a genuine prophet of God to confirm what He had already told you.

Many homes have been established on falsehood and that is why things are falling apart ad the center can no longer hold. Some pastors are seriously into match-making.They have taken over from the Holy Spirit. Match-making remains God’s prerogative and He has not delegated it to any pastor."

“How I use sex to lure politicians into kidnapper’s den” – 20-year-old arrested in Asaba

You could pass her for an innocent lady at the headquarters of the Delta State Command of the State Security Services (SSS) in Asaba. But this soft-spoken lady has a way of getting men old enough to be her father, especially randy politicians, to willingly eat poison from her palms. That is the world of 20-year-old Philomena Ogbovoh, arrested with two others for allegedly kidnapping a politician.
A native of Kwale in Ndokwa West Local Government Area of the state, she had left her land of birth years ago in search of greener pastures in Ozoro, Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, where she worked as an auxiliary nurse in a private clinic.
As at the time of filing this report, Phil, as she is fondly called, and her boyfriend, Daniel Ubah (24), as well as another accomplice, Kingsley Otuya (25), were cooling their heels behind bars at the SSS head office and would soon face prosecution.
Phil allegedly used her woman ‘treasure’ to lure a political bigwig (names withheld) of one of the political parties in the state, into abduction by her boyfriend and his two partners-in-crime, including one Jersey currently at large. The failed kidnap was said to be Jersey’s idea.
It was gathered that Phil and Daniel started their relationship in Kwale where Daniel was a contract security personnel in an oil firm and at different times, the lovebirds left Kwale ostensibly in search of better life.

However, in March 2012, they ran into each other at Ozoro and re-ignited the affair. Their re-union soon spelt doom for the politician who is eyeing an elective position in the state but said to be tight-fisted. Apparently overwhelmed by Phil’s beauty, the politician, who is old enough to be Phil’s father, made amorous advances toward her.
Phil said that moved by the irritating pressures from the ‘sugar daddy’, she decided to plunge him into an image crisis through blackmail, an idea she sold to her boyfriend, Daniel.
She said: “I was in my house and the man had been pestering me for sex. I begged him not to do it because he has a wife and a girlfriend whom he told me about. He kept on disturbing me until Daniel came to my house one day and I told him about the harassment.
“I told Daniel that I didn’t want anything to do with the man and I initially planned that he should take photographs of the man, so that I could extort money from him by threatening to expose his sexual escapades.”
But as Phil later revealed, Daniel and his gang had a better plan of making quick money as one of them, Jersey, suggested….
Philomena, Daniel and the rest of the gang will be charged for their crimes.

“Other women want it, I wonder how to stop mine.” – Nurse who has up to 100 orgasms a day

A nurse is plagued by a medical condition that gives her up to 100 orgasms A DAY.
Kim Ramsey, 44, feels constantly aroused and the slightest movement can trigger a climax. Trains, driving and even housework start the reaction. But unlike women who yearn for the “Yes, yes!” experience, Kim just thinks “Oh no!”
The orgasms leave her in pain, exhausted and unable to have a normal relationship. She said: “Other women wonder how to have an orgasm — I wonder how to stop mine.”
Kim was diagnosed with incurable Persistent Genital Arousal Disorder. Doctors blame spinal cysts caused when she fell down stairs ten years ago.
Kim, from Hitchin, Herts, but now living in Montclair, New Jersey, US, first had problems after sex with a new boyfriend in 2008.
She said: “I had constant orgasms for four days. I thought I was going mad. It also happened with a new partner and I even tried sitting on frozen peas.”

Dr PAM SPURR – Relationship expert
PEOPLE might joke but this condition is no laughing matter for sufferers.
They find it difficult to talk about the problem, fearing people will laugh or think they are a sex maniac.
Plunging self-esteem can result in body language saying: Don’t approach me. A perfect partner who would listen and understand might be put off.

Monarch in Ondo state disgraced out of his throne by angry indigenes

No longer able to condone and tolerate his fruitless reign, angry natives of Igburowo community in Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State yesterday chased away their paramount ruler, Oba Pius Akinfesola Adewole from his palace over alleged gross corruption and indiscipline. The action was witnessed by a large number of kinsmen, who trooped out to show their disapproval for his alleged sins.
The protest, which began at about 6.00a.m, involved chiefs and prominent citizens of the community, who expressed their feelings in songs over the alleged misrule of the traditional ruler, which they claimed had brought shame and disrespect to the community.
The villagers had earlier written a protest letter dated August 3, 2012, which was signed by about 21 of their representatives representing various interest groups, including high chiefs, female chiefs, otherwise called Opoji in local parlance, as well as male and female natives, members of Igburowo Development Committee (IDC), youth association and the secretary of the Akinbumiti Ruling House.
The letter was addressed to Governor Olusegun Mimiko, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs as well as the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice. They demanded that the Oba vacate the throne over some atrocities allegedly perpetrated in the community.
According to the letter, the monarch who bears the title of Akamuja of Igburowoland, was accused of forceful acquisition of land belonging to his subjects, frivolous litigation over subjects’ property, non-performance of traditional rites and assault on his chiefs and subjects. Other alleged crimes include connivance with an indigene to defraud the community of N3.6million meant for the payment of electricity bill to the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) PLc.
The indigene, who was allegedly nominated by the monarch as a representative of the community, was accused of diverting the money to his personal use. He is facing prosecution at a Magistrate Court over the allegation. Similarly, the monarch was also accused of running an autocratic regime by refusing to constitute the Oba-in-Council several years after the death of some other high chiefs called Iwarefas, who traditionally are required to run the township administration with him.
Besides, Oba Adewole was also accused of refusing to convene traditional meeting places where people would gather to discuss communal matters. The monarch was also accused of shortchanging traditional chiefs by refusing to pay them their full entitlements after he had allegedly collected same from the local government. The community also accused him of fighting with his chiefs, illegal conversion of the community’s, resources to personal use and writing of fictitious petitions and institution of several court cases against his subjects.
Meanwhile, the protesters who barricaded the major roads leading to the community carried placards bearing inscriptions such as ‘Enough is Enough, 16 years of no development, no action,” no, to backwardness,” “Igburowo says no to Akinfesola;” “Go, Akinfesola, Go, Igburowo community rejects you Pius Adewola.” The protesters who marched from the main market to all the streets, later stormed the palace and ordered him out. He was manhandled.
However, the quick intervention of Ore Divisional Police Officer (DPO) and his men saved the life of the monarch. The police had hectic time rescuing the traditional ruler. He was taken to the Ore police station. Confirming the incident, the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, Adeniran Aremu said the traditional ruler was in police custody after he was rescued from his subjects who forced him out of the palace.
Aremu said policemen had been drafted to the place to maintain law and order, saying investigation was ongoing.

Miracle: Mad man regains sanity after 25 years in Owo, 27-year-old son returns home

Just like the biblical allusion “When the lord turned again the captivity of Zion; they were like them that dream. Then their mouth fill with laughter and their tongue with singing” so is the story of Mr. Victor Ijamakinwa Bello [popularly known as Ayinto], of 59, Oke-Ogun Street, Owo local government area of Ondo State, who has been insane for not less than 25 years.
To members of Ijamakinwa’s family and the people who knew him very well in the community, it appeared like a dream when they saw him penultimate Thursday when he led Pastor Emmanuel Okonkwo, the assistant resident Pastor of Living Faith Church [Winners’ Chapel] of No. 71, Oke-Ogun Street, Owo to his father;s house shortly after he was healed miraculously that day.

His elder sister, Mrs. Dorcas Adebisi, who confirmed the story, said Ijamakinwa is one of the three sons in the family of five children of their late parents, Mr. Ijamakinwa Bello and Mrs. Solape Bello, saying that the madness started when he was in Lagos and was later brought back to Owo, his home town for spiritual illness.
She pointed out that all the efforts of her mother to ensure that he was cured of the mental illness was to no avail, adding that he had been taken to several churches and other spiritual places to ensure that he got well before their mother died nine years ago.
Mrs. Adebisi disclosed that Ijamakinwa had earlier married a lady from Owo who gave birth to a son named Mukaila Bello over 27 years ago, about two years before he ran mad.
He elder sister who is a member of a gospel church said she had not stopped praying church said she had not stopped praying for his healing, saying that hope was already lost before God miraculously intervened.
It was gathered that Victor Ijamakinwa Bello had a track record of academic excellence at Methodist Grammar School and Imade College both in Owo local Government before he proceeded to Lagos to engage in business.
While narrating how the mad man was cured to reporters in Owo, Pastor Emmanuel said he had closed in the office for that day when he saw him [Victor] looking at him with rapt attention.
In his words, “It was on 18th August, this year at about 6pm when I closed from office. I got outside and I saw the man. He was looking at me with rapt attention. I saw moved in my spirit and I said to him, “Come here in the name of Jesus” and he was shaking. When he came to me, I prayed for him and after that I asked him his name, he answered me and I asked him where his house is and he took me to the house.
“When we got to the house, I asked the people living in the house whether they know him and they said he is a son of the man that owned the house. I took him back to the church where he had lived for three days before I decided to take him to my house.
“He stayed with me for a week so that he could have someone to interact with. He was not violent again and he never asked for cigarette or Indian hemp. He remained calm for the period of time he stayed with me.
“I made him feel at home. We lived together like brothers because in his last 25 years he had been isolated. The Sunday after his deliverance, he worshiped with us in the first and second services in the church.
“I thought of where he can be to get interaction because I don’t want to release him to his family for now. I decided to take away from Owo vicinity where they know him to have been a mad man for more than 25 years and I decided to take him to the rehabilitation unit of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency [NDLEA] in Akure so that he can start a new life entirely”.
Pastor Emmanuel pointed out that the spiritual aspect had been taken care of by God, saying that Ijamakinwa needed to take food supplements so that he could regain his memory fully and that he could be rehabilitated completely as he would have people to chat with.
When we visited Mr. Ijamakinwa at the rehabilitation unit of NDLEA in Akure, he had started interacting with people normally.
He even wrote his name correctly in book given to him.

CHANNELSTV: Political Reporter Deji Bademosi Quits After Clash With Owner John Momoh- PREMIUM TIMES

Multiple award winning TV journalist, and one of the nation’s most talented broadcast journalists, Deji Bademosi, has resigned his appointment with Channels Television over what sources described as “irreconcilable differences” with the Chairman of the station, John Momoh.
Mr. Bademosi, who was Head of the television’s Political Desk, tweeted on Friday that he had quit his position at the station.
“My time with Channels Television has now ended. Looking to new challenges,” Mr. Bademosi, a Mass Communication graduate from the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, tweeted on Friday evening.
Both Mr. Bademosi and CHANNELS are reluctant to speak on the resignation of a reporter  who won several laurels for self and station.
When contacted on the phone Saturday, Mr. Bademosi, who was also Channels TV’s Head of Reportorial Team, said he’d rather not talk about the matter.
“I can only confirm that I resigned on Friday,” he said. “I don’t  want to say anything more because I remain grateful to CHANNELS for providing me the platform to showcase my skills.”
Mr. Momoh too confirmed the reporter’s departure. ”What’s wrong with someone resigning? Mr. Momoh told PREMIUM TIMES. “He’s tired of working here and has gone on to something else. It’s okay.”
Sources, however, say that the relationship between Mr. Bademosi, who had spent almost a decade at the organization, and Mr. Momoh has strained lately.
Deji Badamosi

It was gathered that the last straw was when the management issued a directive, earlier in the week, that editors must get approval from Mr. Momoh, before assigning reporters to any assignment.
“The management ruled that editors must contact the chairman wherever he is in the world before assigning reporters to any assignment,” a highly placed official told PREMIUM TIMES Saturday.
“Things haven’t been rosy between him and the Channels management,” another source said.
"Before then, what led to the memo was a clash between the chairman and Deji.
“Deji had assigned a reporter to go and cover a PDP (Peoples’ Democratic Party) press conference in Ogun State,” the source added.
The press briefing was organized by the Bayo Dayo faction of the PDP, who are at loggerheads with the group led by former president Olusegun Obasanjo.
“While at the assignment, the personal assistant to the chairman called the reporter and asked him to leave the assignment and return to the office.
“The reporter refused,” the source said.
However, after the story, which had been approved by Mr. Bademosi and the controller of news, had been lined up in the bulletin for broadcast; the chairman’s assistant showed up again.
“The PA said that the chairman directed that the tape of the assignment be handed over to him, but they (Mr. Bademosi and the controller of news) refused.
“The chairman then personally came down and ordered that the tape be given to him. He confiscated the tape.
“Deji said that he could not work in an environment where editors do not have powers and must get approval from the chairman before any event is covered,” said the source, who added that Mr. Momoh attends editorial meeting and talks to editors “like babies.”
Mr. Momoh declined to comment on his directive that editors must seek his approval before detailing reporters to cover events.
“I think you should contact the director of news on that,” he said. ”I am the chairman of the company. I think you need to talk to the controller of news on that.”
But when one of the station’s two controller of news, Ambrose Okoh, was contacted, he denied knowledge of Mr. Bademosi’s resignation and the controversial directive by Mr. Momoh.
“I don’t have details of what you are talking about,” he said. “Come to the office on Monday so we can talk about it.”
Before his resignation, Mr. Bademosi anchored one of the most popular programmes on the station, ‘Politics Today’.

RMD Vs Linda Ikeji; The Lion And The Tortoise?

On July 6, 2012, star actor, Richard Mofe Damijo well known as RMD got a 'wonderful' birthday gift from blogger, Linda Ikeji. You wonder what the special gift was? A news story that RMD acquired a 250million Naira home in Asaba, Delta State.

Hours later, RMD cried out telling Linda to go get a life.

I have pondered on RMD's outburst especially on his tweet to US over our choice of headline, 'RMD Fights Linda Ikeji'

But taking a look at the matter all over again, it reminds one of tortoise and the lion. All what the lion does is to roar so as to scare away every other animals. But for the tortoise, its smallish nature is well complemented in his wisdom or its crooked ways.

Many have seen RMD's tweets as bully while Linda Ikeji has in a way gained more popularity with the whole scenario. At least, RMD now knows who the popular gossip is (according to his tweet).

Linda also in a way has put RMD's political life into public scrutiny. With her N250m valuation of RMD's house, many would want to dig deeper into the 'mere' post in revealing things we might not know about RMD as a Commissioner in Delta State.

Of course, it was right for RMD to have responded to Linda's 'allegation' but was he right to have responded via twitter?

Rev Chris Okotie "I will tell the world what my wife did next year"

According to reports, the head pastor of Household of God told Christian leaders who went to see him that he will reveal what his wife did to him to make him end their marriage, sometime next year.

Pastor Okotie has now shunned counsels and pleas by other pastors who have repeatedly called him or visited his church. He is not telling anyone what his ex-wife did to him nor ready to give out details of the past event now but will reveal all next year.

What do you think about this new development? Do you think as a man of God, he should keep private things private or he should go ahead with this move? Please Share your thought with me
