Kwara State governor sacks all his commissioners and advisers

Governor Abdulfattah Ahmed on Wednesday dissolved the State Executive Council.

The dissolution affected all commissioners, Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants.

The Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Isiaka Gold, who announced the dissolution at the end of the State Executive Council meeting, said it was with immediate effect.

He said the governor directed all the affected officials to hand over the affairs of their ministries and agencies to their respective permanent secretaries.

The SSG, who described the dissolution of the council as a routine exercise, said the governor thanked the former appointees for their selfless services to the state.

“We all left the council chambers on a good note, ‘’ he added.

The former Commissioner for Education, Saka Onimago, thanked the governor on behalf of his colleagues for giving them the opportunity to serve.
