Abducted 92-Year-Old Ex-Oil Minister, Ali Monguno, released

The elder statesman was held captive for three days.
Nigeria's first petroleum minister, Shettima Ali Monguno, who was kidnapped on Friday, has been released.
Mr. Monguno was released by his abductors at about midday on Monday. The nonagenarian urged hundreds of sympathisers who came to welcome him not to shed tears saying "They did not kill me, so don't cry."
The Borno Governor, Kashim Shettima, appealed to the crowd that thronged the ex-minister's  house in Maiduguri to let him have at least 24 hours to rest and not disturb him.
There has been no confirmation about whether ransom was paid for Mr. Monguno's release or not.
