Love child drama: “My father told me that Teny Herman was his daughter” – Ojukwu’s son

First son of late Igbo leader, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, Mr. Debe Sylvester Odumegwu-Ojukw has admitted that his late father told him that Teny Harmana was his biological daughter.
Debe, told journalists in Enugu that there was no reason to doubt the paternity of Herman, as he (Debe) was aware of everything.
He said, “That is his daughter, I knew about her. The old man told me that Teny Herman was his daughter. I am his biggest and closest confidant; so there were so many things he laid bare to me which he never told others.”
The disinherited son added that Teny Herman’s mother hailed from the North.
“Her mother is from the North – Kaduna State precisely but I am not so sure of her first name now,” he said.
He said, “My father loved Teny just the same way he loved the northerners. Infact, Teny’s conception and birth was a hidden agenda he executed to demonstrate his love for the Northerners.”
However, he disclosed that the “authentic Will” written by his father was yet to be read, saying, “the Will purportedly read last week Friday at the Enugu State High Court is a script prepared by some people to suit their selfish desire.”
Debe added, “That is not his Will, you can see it from the reactions that have trailed it since it was read, so I’m not bothered. When the time comes, my late father’s Will would be read.
“Whenever it is time to read my father’s Will, Nigerians would be duly informed and no one would be taken unawares as was the case in Enugu.”

Lagos collapsed building: Tears as the two sisters buried in same grave

The heart of 68-year-old Mrs. Adebisi was shattered as she watched the remains of her two daughters, Bukky and Toyin Coker, laid to rest at the Ikoyi Cemetery, Lagos yesterday.
The two sisters, Bukky 25, and Toyin, 30 died on November 21 as a wing of their building collapsed at Jakande Low Cost Estate in Isolo, Lagos.
Although their burial service was solemn and short, the tears and wails it stirred went a long way to show that their untimely death was indeed a great loss to the entire family. The duo were the only surviving children of their parents.
Family, friends, neighbours, community and church members gathered at the Ikoyi Cemetery, looking dejected as voice of the officiating pastor, Mr. Prosper Makafui, of the Winners’ Chapel, Oke-Afa, Isolo branch read the rites. “They have gone. No matter what we do right now, no matter what we say, they will not come back,” he said.
The cleric urged the people present to live in perfect alliance with God’s principles, saying that death was inevitable.
“It is appointed for man to die only once, after that, judgement. Death comes only when one leasts expects.
“From what I have heard about these sisters we are laying to rest here today, I have no doubts that God will grant them eternal peace. I heard Toyin’s church members were waiting for her that day she died to come and sweep the church as she usually did.”
Shortly after his heart-renting sermon, the two sisters were lowered in same grave. While Toyin’s body went in first, Bukky’s followed, one atop the other.
Recalling his last encounter with one of the deceased, a young man who simply identified himself as Dele said Bukky was his friend. And unfortunately, he was the last person Bukky spoke with before she died.
According to the still-shocked chap, “I called her briefly about 10 pm that night, but we decided to continue our chat on the BlackBerry messenger.
“We spoke about a lot of things; life, her plan to go for further studies, our future and many other things. But about 10.30 pm, Bukky said she was feeling sleepy and we said our goodbyes.”
Just like two-love birds, Dele said usually, one of them would call the other in the morning to know how the night went.
“Her phone was not available and I kept trying thinking that her phone battery was flat. I was checking something online later when I saw the news,” he said in an emotion laden voice.
When he could no longer control his emotions, Dele broke down in tears.
Mr. Muyiwa Oluwole, the deceased’s uncle said the late sisters were intelligent, quiet and industrious.
“They were like their father. He was a very quiet man. I grew up with their father, who was my cousin. I was present when Bukky and Toyin were born. It is really sad, very sad,” he said.

Landlord Beats Female Tenant For Bedwetting

A landord has been arrested after bashing his female tenant accusing her of bed bedwetting. The alleged incident which has since become the talk of the suburb occurred on the 17th of November.

It is said that on the dramatic day, Luphahla was going about his errands when he saw a child of the tenant playing outside. The man is alleged to have slapped the three-year-old child for “acting” like her mother. The child ran into her mother’s room wailing. This is said to have prompted the woman Ntombizodwa Ncube to demand answers as to the reasons behind the thrashing of her child.
Luphahla would have none of it and told the woman off. She was not going to be pushed away easily and continued pestering the man. Purportedly infuriated by this, Luphahla who was standing outside the woman’s room forcibly went in. After a peep around the room, Luphahla spotted watery liquid on the woman’s bed.
He got closer to get a sniff and to his shock it was urine. The man went on to accuse Ncube of bedwetting. She compounded the problem by failing to defend herself.
As such, Luphahla is alleged to have dragged her outside the room labelling her a bed wetter. He then kicked her until she fell. By then a crowd made up of mostly kids had already gathered to see the bed wetter.
Taking advantage of the situation, the man went on to savagely kick the woman on the left breast. As the assault raged on, Luphahla is reported to have hit Ncube twice on the leg with a stone.
The woman was later rescued by a neighbour. Luphahla was arrested and remanded in custody to 4 December after failing to pay $100 bail which he had been granted by Western Commonage magistrate, Mr Richard Ramaboea.

Church Members Fast, Pray Hard For One Week, Find Completely Naked Man Lying In Church

Church Members Fast, Pray Hard For One Week, Find Completely Naked Man Lying In Church

The young congregation of the New Life Worship Centre Church in Block X, Soshanguve, prayed for the safety of the churchyard and to have a deeper awareness of God in their lives.
“We had prayed all night. Then as the sun started rising at about 5am, we went inside the church. And there he was! We found ourselves face to face with this naked man,” Johannes Mametja, a man of God. , said.
Johannes said he couldn’t understand how he got into the house.
“The house was locked. We realised he must have used magic keys to open the back door. As we are believers we called on the name of the Holy Spirit. This made the naked man hostile. Then he suddenly dived out of the window and ran away,” added Johannes.
Mametja and his congregation chased after the running man and saved him from a beating by community members who had joined the chase. Church member Neo Mmakola (21) said they took him to the church and started to pray for him.
“He confessed that his name was Lucky and he had spiritually come from Limpopo. We cut off the ropes from his body and found they had muthi tied to them,” said Neo.
Warrant officer Lolo Mangena told Daily Sun: “A middle aged, totally naked man is being kept at the police station while we trace his family.”

Taraba Governor Danbaba Suntai Reportedly Brain-Damaged

Governor Danbaba Suntai of Taraba State, who was seriously injured when his plane crashed on October 25 in Yola, capital of Adamawa State, has reportedly suffered extensive brain damage and even failed to recognize members of a presidential delegation that visited him at a hospital in Hanover, Germany, an authoritative source has told SaharaReporters.
A source close to a senior member of the delegation which was led by Senate President, David Mark, included Governor Ibrahim Yakowa of Kaduna State, President Goodluck Jonathan’s chief of staff, Mike Oghiadomhe, also on the delegation was John Kennedy Opara, the secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) and the Chaplain of the Presidential Villa Chapel, Venerable Obioma Onwuzurumba, described the trip to see Mr. Suntai as highly secretive. SaharaReporters learnt that members of the delegation had officially traveled to Vatican City in Rome to witness the consecration of Archbishop John Onaiyekan as a Cardinal of the Catholic Church. After the ceremony in Italy, the delegation then made a quick detour to Germany to see the injured Mr. Suntai.
Our source said members of the delegation were shocked to see Mr. Suntai in a vegetative state. “His condition was so bad that they could not publicly disclose his condition after they returned to Nigeria,” said the source.
Since Mr. Suntai’s airlift to Germany, officials of the Taraba State government have engaged in propaganda, claiming that the governor was making remarkable recovery. But our sources, including an official of the state government, admitted that Mr. Suntai’s mental faculty had deteriorated since the accident and that his memory was virtually impaired.
“It is possible that he suffered brain damage because there was some delay before he could be taken abroad,” said a state official.
A Taraba-born political activist who is based in Abuja, has likened the present hide and seek game on the status of the Taraba state governor to the days of late president Umaru Musa Yar’Adua when his true state of health was concealed from Nigerians in order to prevent his vice, Goodluck Jonathan from being sworn-in as acting president.
According to him: “We all know how President Umaru Yar’Adua’s people continued to deceive Nigerians that the man was recovering well and how they even brought him back in a comatose state and declared that he was in control of Nigeria,” said the activist. He added: “I hope President Jonathan and the PDP are not planning a similar scenario whereby they will declare that Governor Suntai is in control – until they find a malleable successor who suits them.
“The fact that the people of Taraba have not heard from or seen the governor since the air crash on October 25 2012 means that the man is no longer fit to govern them,” he said.

Sanusi Blows Hot Again: I Said Reduce Number Of Political Appointees Not Civil Servants

Call it a case of jumping from frying pan to fire, but CBN governor, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi’s latest rebuttal of his controversial statement over the week where he purportedly called for the sack of half the country’s work force, will still land him in hot waters – this time, with the political elite.
Sanusi, while speaking to Channels Television’s correspondent, Chukwuma Onuekwusi, in London at the end of the 13th session of the Honorary International Investors council meeting, said that those calling for his sack “are shying away from the reality of the time”.
Also clearing the air on his statement, Sanusi said he was not talking about the sack of civil servants but a reduction in the size of political appointees who take 70 percent of government revenue leaving a mere 30 percent for the 160 million Nigerians.
According to him “what Nigeria is practising is an American system of government that is very expensive”.
