Man Exposes Ogboni Confraternity After He Was Asked To Sacrifice His First Son For Riches (Read Story)

Truly sounds like a story out of Nollywood, but according to DailySun, 54 year old frustrated former Ogboni member, Chris Obi, in a new interview with them is crying out that after being a member of the cult for 15 years, a cult he joined cos they promised to make him wealthy overnight, he has nothing to show for it. Then when he finally made up his mind to leave, which he eventually did, the cult people came for his life.

Obi who is based in Onitsha, Anambra State is bitter that he lost 15 of his early years in search of wealth where nothing is given free. Not ready to keep sealed lips, Obi, who was once a machine operator with a firm in Onitsha before turning to merchandise, told Saturday Sun his story:

“I joined Ogboni because I wanted to be very rich. I was deceived by friends. But I was in it for 15 years without getting any riches. I was only dining with the high and mighty. They were only feeding me. Whenever we go for meetings, which we call club meetings, I used to eat sumptuous meals and drink so much. That would make me happy but once I come back home, I became sad because I was still poor and couldn’t feed my family.

Before I was accepted to join the society, I was registered. I even paid a registration fee. It was
about N75,000 that I paid before they gave me a form to fill. I was asked to supply some personal information in the form. Such information included the names of my first born, my wife, my relatives and my age, among others.

We were also asked to pay for certain things such as gadgets, they cost N30,000 but I paid only N20,000. I got the money from my contribution in the firm I was working before I joined the society. After filling the form, they gave a date for my initiation into the society."While giving account of his initiation into the cult, Obi said he was given a blood-like liquid in a calabash to drink as a mark that he would keep the secrets of the society, which he is now determined to break and damn the consequence.

“At the initiation venue, they provided a coffin, covered with a black cloth. I was also given a ring and an handkerchief among other things I can’t mention here. There were traditional priests who presided over the initiation. I remember the priests shouted some incantations which I later understood were warnings for me that what I was joining wasn’t a child’s play.

After that, they put the ring into my hand and said that it was a covenant that demands that I keep sealed lips about the activities of the society. I was also given some liquid in a calabash to drink; the liquid looked like red wine, but it was very red. I cannot really say how it tasted. We were many that were initiated that day and we all drank the red liquid.

When we had taken the drink, we were congratulated and welcomed to the society with huge promises that we would get all the riches and the powers that we desired. I went home that day feeling on top of the world. I was excited that I have found a smart way to be come very rich”, he stated. To reassure himself that he was on the right path, Obi would use some of the magical powers given him through rings and handkerchief. He explained:

“The ring that I was given could be described as both magical and fetish. I was told that I could just disappear in the face of danger if I wore it. But it didn’t make me to disappear at any time. Actually, I never got myself into trouble with anyone because all I wanted was to be very rich. So, I did my best to stay out of trouble.
The handkerchief did remarkable things for me. With it I hypnotized people to do my bidding. For instance, I was able to pay far less than what I bought from sellers whenever I went to the market to buy things. I could buy things and ensure my bags are full with foodstuffs and other things with just N1,000 and I even get some balance from the sellers. The handkerchief enables me to cheat sellers by getting them hypnotized.”Not satisfied with those little benefits from the magical powers given him, frustration began to set in when he could not understand what he would do to get the real wealth he needed. According to him:

“there was no time I was categorically told how to make wealth or get riches but each time I asked them when it would happen, they would tell me that I should just continue to attend the meetings and make effort to get deeper and know more about the society. They said that in due course I would find out how to get riches. So, I carried on with them, with the hope that one day, they would reveal to me how to become rich indeed.”The beginning of the end, however, began when, on further inquiry on how to get the desired wealth, he was told that he had to sacrifice his first son. In his narration, he said:

“Something happened about six years ago which made me have a second thought about the society and desired to take a walk from them.

I ran into a member of the society with whom I had been initiated the same time. That means we were at the same level in the society. I knew the man to be as wretched as a church rat before our initiation. But when I met him in 2008, he had become stupendously rich. He rode a very expensive car and I envied him.
He took me to a big restaurant in Onitsha metropolis and there he bought me sumptuous meal and drinks worth thousands of naira. When we got talking, he told me about how rich he had become. He said that he had built a business empire for himself and dealt with white men in Hong Kong. The man took me to one of his firms where he prints many fake documents for several business transactions. He said he wouldn’t get caught because of his connections with the society.
When I asked him how he struck it rich, that was when he dropped the bombshell, saying that he had to sacrifice his first son. He said that thereafter, he continued to kill his other unborn male children from his wife. He said that whenever his wife was pregnant and was about to give birth, he would find out the sex of the baby and if it turns out to be a male, he would use his powers to kill the baby before it would be delivered.”The confession of his colleague dropped the scale from his eyes and then it dawned on him that he needed to take a decision to proceed and do likewise or take a walk. He eventually chose the latter. According to Obi:

“I was shocked at what he said. He added that he had built houses both at Onitsha and his village. His confession opened my eyes to what I was supposed to do to get riches. It became crystal clear to me that the society expects me to also sacrifice my first son to become rich and I shuddered at the thought of it. I love my family so much. They are all I have in the world.

In fact, I wanted to get rich quick so as to give my family the best in life but it was the same family that was being demanded as sacrifice for the riches. Suddenly, I began to realize that I was foolish to have accepted to join the cult for riches. I regretted heeding the advice from my friends who lured me into it. My friends, particularly the one who was the general secretary of the society, had deceived me with great promises of wealth, they had even told me that they saw my father’s name in the Ogboni membership list when they were checking the names of past late members. But the scales fell off my eyes with what I discovered from my colleague who sacrificed his children.”From that point, Chris chose to draw the battle line with a group he had served for 15 years.

“Suddenly, I began to hate the society. I couldn’t make myself to attend the meetings again and I began to burn the fetish items they gave me. After a few days that they didn’t see me at the meetings, they sent that my rich friend to me.
He came to ask why I was being absent at meetings and I told him that if the only way for me to get riches is to sacrifice my family, I was opting out. He looked angry when I told him that and warned me against the consequences of quitting the society. A series of persuasions and threats followed for sometime so as to make me change my mind but I stood my ground and drew closer to God and was praying fervently.
After a while, I thought they would let me be. But they told me through their delegation that they wanted to leave me because I had not got riches through them. They added that my soul would have been demanded by them if I had got riches before quitting. That means they would have killed me and captured my soul as punishment.”He said at the point he was almost relaxing it was all over, the cult struck.

“I thought they had gone out of my life forever when they said this, little did I know that they were actually planning to get rid of me gradually. Later that year, 2008, I had a minor accident and it got my legs swollen. And the legs continued to swell the more.

It defied all kinds of treatment I sought for it. In fact, I attended many churches for a miracle of healing. I paid tithes, huge offerings and even bought things for the churches but nothing happened until last year January when I attended the crusade of the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries at Mgbidi where I eventually got my deliverance from their attack”, Obi stated with a sigh of relief.

20 Boko Haram detainees killed in failed jailbreak attempt in Abuja

No fewer than 20 Boko Haram detainees have been shot dead in a shoutout that ensued this morning at the Department of State Security Service in the Asokoro a district of Abuja.

It was learnt that the shoutout erupted when some of the suspected terrorists attempted to free their members and leave the detention facility, which is by the precincts of the Presidential Villa.

Trouble started around 6am during the normal handing over and taking over of duties by DSS detainees’ handlers.

A competent source said that as soon as one handlers opened the gate leading to the cell where the detainees were being kept, ten suspected terrorists rushed out, snatched the handler’s rifle and used it to shoot him.

Seeing the attack, some DSS handlers are reported to have retreated so as not to be killed by the rampaging suspected terrorists.

The source said after shooting the first handler, the ten suspected terrorists began to escape into different locations within the massive security compound.

Alarmed by the effrontery of the suspected terrorists, the DSS quickly deployed its men to quell the uprising, resulting in heavy shooting that claimed the lives of some of the suspects.

Many DSS operatives and Boko Haram detainees were also injured in the ensuing stampede.

The shot DSS operative, whose name could not be immediately ascertained, was immediately rushed to an undisclosed hospital. A source said the shot operative was in a fatal state but had not died.

It was learnt that the DSS, which is highly embarrassed by the incident, had begun investigation into why the detainees handler decided to go and open the cell gate alone without being accompanied by others, as is the standard practice.

“The whole episode occurred around 6:30 am and 7am on Sunday during the normal handing over and takeover of detainees.

“The standard rule is that you cannot go alone to open the gate leading to the detainees’ cell but as soon as the man opened the gate, he was attacked and he tried to run away and was shot.

“The shot operative has been taken to hospital,” the source said.

The uprising led to the deployment of soldiers to the DSS headquarters and around the Presidential Villa.
Commuters and vehicles passing through the Aso a Drive, were searched by armed soldiers and DSS operatives.

Marylyn Ogar, the Spokeswoman for the DSS, confirmed the attempted jailbreak, which she said had been stalled by security agents.

She said, “What happened was that the suspects’ handlers went to feed the detainees here but suddenly they attacked him with their handcuffs, disarmed him and started shooting.

“The military was quickly called in before they could do any harm and that is responsible for the shootings you heard.

“It was an attempted jailbreak but it has been brought under control.”

Muslim cleric caught slitting girl’s throat in Oyo

A 37-year-old muslim cleric, Isah Salaudeen was caught on Thursday night trying to slaughter a young girl, Chiwendu Nkwocha who had gone to him for spiritual help in Ibadan.
According to report, the victim, Nkwocha was brought to Salaudeen by her boyfriend, Bola, in January this year so that he would help in using prayers and other means to exorcise some spirits troubling her and she had been undergoing this ‘spiritual cleansing’ by being given herbs, concoctions and ‘holy water’ to cure her.
On that fateful day, Salaudeen had asked the victim to lie down while he covered her face with a cloth. She suddenly felt a sharp pain on her throat and before she knew what was happening, the cleric reportedly attempted to hack her with a cutlass to make his work faster when it seemed the knife was not achieving the aim intended. She then screamed, jumped up from where she was lying and ran out for help.
The incident was said to have been reported by one Aafa Taiye Agulofi and Ademola Agoro who resides in the same area with the suspect.
Salaudeen when apprehended, denied trying to deliberately kill the lady, saying he did not know what came over him. He said he believed he was manipulated by the spirits troubling Nkwocha to commit the criminal act and that he came to his senses later on.
“I am a Muslim cleric and will never do rituals. Even I have self-discipline so much that I don’t have girlfriend or go to prostitutes since my wife and I divorced. If I feel like having sex, I just masturbate until I (ejaculate). Divine (Nkwocha) used to play hard and was also staying with me; that was why I had sex with her,” Salaudeen said.
Salaudeen, is currently being held at the Iyaganku Division of Oyo State Police Command while Nkwocha is said to be receiving treatment at the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan.
The spokesperson for the Oyo State police command, Olabisi Okuwobi-Ilobanafor, a Superintendent of Police, confirmed the incident, saying that the suspect would be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Iyaganku, Ibadan, for further investigations.

BREAKING: Sanusi shuns Financial Reporting Council; says invitation in bad faith

He said the Council’s report lacked integrity since the FRCN neither gave him fair hearing, nor allowed him the opportunity to respond to the weighty allegations contained in the Briefing Note to the President.
The suspended Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN governor, Lamido Sanusi, on Thursday shunned the much-publicized invitation by the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria, FRCN, for him to appear before it to answer questions on some aspects of his tenure between 2011 and 2012.
Reports of Mr. Sanusi’s decision to decline the invitation came as this paper learnt that the suspended CBN governor had sued the FRCN for defaming his character.
In a letter to the Executive Secretary of FRCN, Jim Obazee, to explain why he would not honour the Council’s invitation, Counsel to Mr. Sanusi, Kola Awodein, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN, said the invitation was not only in bad faith, but premeditated to embarrass and disparage his client.
President Goodluck Jonathan had suspended Mr. Sanusi from office on February 21, 2014 following the recommendation by the Council, which accused the CBN, under his leadership of financial recklessness.
The recommendations followed the Council’s review of Mr. Sanusi’s response to its report on the audited financial statement of the CBN for the year ended December 2012 and other related issues, which it described as unsatisfactory.
Following the receipt of the Council’s invitation on March 14, 2014, Mr. Sanusi said he responded two days later seeking clarification on the specific activities of the CBN the FRCN was investigating.
He said since no response was forthcoming from the Council, he did not see any need to honour the invitation, noting that he was surprised to see advertorials in newspapers and other media publicizing the invitation.
Describing the adverts as evidence of the Council’s avowed intent to act prejudicially, Mr. Sanusi said it was appalling that he was being invited after the Council had arrived at the “false and malicious conclusions” in its Briefing Note of June 7, 2013, on which the President relied to suspend him from office.
Criticizing the Council’s recommendation for his suspension from office along with the Deputy Governors, Mr. Sanusi noted that the opinion that, if they remained in office, they would take advantage of the information at their disposal to attack government, amounted to pre-judgment of the issues it was investigating.
He said the Council’s report lacked integrity since the FRCN neither gave him fair hearing, nor allowed him the opportunity to respond to the weighty allegations contained in the Briefing Note to the President.
Besides, he said a review of Sections 7, 8, 11, 25, 28, 58(2) and 62 of the FRC Act 2011 revealed that the Council lacked the authority and powers to conduct the investigation it was seeking to undertake.
Mr. Sanusi said he was not afraid of any objective investigation by an appropriate and impartial authority into either the activities of the CBN during his tenure, or his activities as a citizen.
He said he was however constrained to decline the FRC’s invitation for some compelling reasons.
He gave the reasons as bias, breach of the rules of natural justice, absence of statutory powers, violation of the rule of law, and the Council’s attempt to carry out an investigation considered prejudicial to good public administration and the special position of the CBN.
At the venue where Mr. Sanusi was being expected to appear in Lagos, officials of the Council were busy playing hide and seek games with reporters, as only representatives of media houses they believe are sympathetic to their position were allowed access.

Court declares FRSC’s new number plates illegal

The new number plates introduced by the Federal Road Safety Commission, is unconstitutional, a Federal High Court in Lagos said today Wednesday March 26th.

Premium Times reports
Delivering judgment in a suit filed by Emmanuel Ofoegbu, a lawyer, against the FRSC, the judge said that it was unlawful for the commission to impose the new number plates on Nigerians, where no existing law permitted it.
“The issue of redesigning new number plates by the respondent, is not covered under the provisions of any law in Nigeria,” said James Tsoho, the judge.
“The respondent (FRSC) cannot force Nigerians to acquire new plate numbers by impounding cars, without the backing of any legislation to that effect.
“I hold that the act of the respondent amounts to an arbitrary use of power, and is therefore illegal and unconstitutional.
“Judgment is therefore entered in favour of the plaintiff, and all the reliefs sought is hereby granted, I so hold,” the judge added.

Mr. Ofoegbu filed the suit on September 30, 2013, through a Human Rights Activists, Ogedi Ogu, challenging the power of the FRSC to impound vehicles of motorists who failed to acquire the new numbers.

Mr. Ofoegbu had sought a declaration that the threat by the FRSC to impound vehicles of motorists, who failed to acquire the new number plates, was invalid and unconstitutional.

In his statement of facts, the plaintiff averred that the old plate numbers were issued under the provisions of the National Road Traffic Regulations (NRTR) 2004.

He averred that the NRTR 2004, is a subsidiary legislation made under the FRSC Act, Laws of the Federation as revised in 2004.

According to the plaintiff, the NRTR 2012, in Regulations 230 (2), provides that “the revocation of the 2004 Regulations, shall not affect anything done, or purported to be done pursuant to that Regulation”

Mr. Ofoegbu stated that there is no law made in accordance with the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended), which prohibits the use of the old plate numbers, or declares its use as an offence

Immigration tragedy: ‘I found my wife in the mortuary, cold dead, after parting at test venue’

they had known, maybe they would have asked government to forget its job so they could live together. This is part of the lamentation of Mr Austin Amu, the widower of Mrs Sandra Amun, who lost her life, Saturday, March 15, 2014, at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium Benin City, where the recruitment exercise of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) took place.

Incidentally, Amun, from Uzebba, Owan West Local Government Council of Edo State, participated in the recruitment exercise with the deceased but survived the stampede. It was a pitiable sight when Sunday Vanguard visited the family’s residence in Benin City watching the husband of the deceased trying to administer medication on their last born, Favour, who was crying due to cough and catarrh.

Amun recalled that he and Sandra had woken up on the ill-fated day and had their bath together as they had always done in the past 10 years. They planned to get to the recruitment venue on time. They actually did but met an uncontrollable crowd at the stadium as thousands of applicants struggled to participate in the job test.

It was revealed  that the stampede occurred because the organizers decided to lock the big gates and used the small ones at the stadium. As a result, people had to pay N1000 each to gain entry.. Those who could not afford the money made frantic efforts to find their way into the stadium at all costs, a situation that created chaos.

Amun narrated his story to our source “ I applied for the job as a senior secondary school holder while my wife applied as a graduate because she finished from Auchi Polytechnic. On that day, while we were on queue, I could have been the victim because while I was in the crowd, I almost couldn’t breath. I told her we should go home.

But she said I shouldn’t worry, that I should find somewhere to relax while she will be at the stadium and monitor things and then get back to me. About 20 minutes later, her younger brother who also came to write the examination saw me and asked after his sister. I told him she was in the crowd. 30 minutes later, somebody shouted that a woman had died.

I didn’t know it was my wife. It was then they now went to open the big gates into the stadium. The first time, they were using the small gates; it was after the incident that they went to open the big gates, for people to enter the stadium.. I thought I was going to see her inside the stadium. I went round the place, I didn’t see her. Around 4 pm when we were about to write the test, I still had not seen her and I became more worried but the brother encouraged me to write the test saying maybe she was writing her own somewhere. After the test, I sat by the gates thinking while coming out I would see her. I waited till around 6.30 to 7 pm.

Later, thought maybe she would be in my viewing centre. I went there but didn’t see her, people came around to watch football, but because I had not seen my wife, I couldn’t open the shop. I locked the place and called her younger brother and my friend who has a vehicle. We went to the hospital where they rushed those injured during the test, to check if she was there; but they said they had discharged four people who sustained injuries.

They checked their names, my wife’s name was not there. They now said there was one woman who Immigration officials brought without a name and they used no name to book the woman’s corpse. I now requested to see the woman. Behold I saw my wife in the mortuary sleeping alone. I touched her, she could not touch me, I called her, she could not answer.

I tried to call her phone because I did not believe she was dead; but she did not pick. But somebody picked her phone on the ground and the person told me he couldn’t reach the owner until after the test, because of the crowd. It was the next day that the Civil Defence people that collected it brought it home.

“Since the incident nobody has called me from the Immigration Service. The only people that came to see me were from a human rights group based in Abuja. They asked how I felt and what happened. I told them the story. I don’t know where to start from. We had been together even before she went to Auchi Polytechnic, she went to the polytechnic from my house; she finished her studies before we started having kids.

She graduated in HND banking and finance seven years ago. The most senior child, a girl, Favour, is six years, Miracle, the second, is five and the last, Favour (male), is three years. I want assistance from government, let them give the children scholarship, give me and my brother-in-law jobs. My wife’s mother and grandmother are still alive; she is the first daughter of her family and I am the first son of my family too. This load is too much for me and I don’t know where to start.”

100 killed as gunmen invade Kaduna villages

Gunmen have attacked three villages in Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The attackers, it was gathered, invaded the three villages of Ugwar Sankwai, Ungwar Gata and Chenshyi on Friday night when the villagers were fast asleep.

The attackers burnt down houses, while villagers who attempted to escape during the attack were gunned down or macheted by the attackers numbering over 40.

One of the villagers, Nuhu Moses, who managed to escape from the scene of the attack said in one village alone no fewer than 50 people were killed.

He said, “The attackers were more than 40, armed with dangerous knives, guns and other sophisticated weapons.

“Over 50 people were killed in our village alone and there is no house standing. All the houses were burnt by the attackers while people who attempted to run were gunned down.

“I was just lucky to have escaped but our Pastor’s wife, and kids were among the people that were butchered.”

A resident of Ungwar Sankwai, Jonathan Bako, simply described his escape as a miracle.

The Kaduna Command of the Nigeria Police Force, confirmed the incident.

Its spokesman, Aminu Lawan, DSP, said a detachment of policemen had been deployed to the area while the command had begun investigation into the attack.

Vice Chairman of the council, Daniel Anyip, who stood in for the Chairman, Kumai Bodu, who was away to China, also confirmed that several houses were set ablaze by the attackers.

He said women and children were not spared.

He said, “There is no justification for this inhuman act.

“From our records, in all the three villages attacked, only five houses are standing while people killed are about 100. These are villages that housed a lot of people but they are now homeless.”

Meanwhile, the State Governor, Mukhtar Yero, through his spokesman, Mallam Ahmed Maiyaki, has condemned the attack, describing it as “ungodly and barbaric”.

Yero, who vowed to bring the perpetrators to book, ordered for a full scale investigation into the attack.

The Governor condoled with the victims of the attacks and assured them of his administration’s commitment to protecting lives and property of the entire people of the state.

The governor also appealed to the attacked communities to remain calm and law abiding as security operatives were already on top of the situation.

Yero said,”This ugly situation is unacceptable and we will step up efforts to improve surveillance and curtail future occurrence.

“We pray that God would expose the people that are causing this problem. We pray that God would touch their hearts to stop such dastardly acts or destroy their evil machinations.

“We must not despair under this brazen attacks, as a leader, I am not happy with such ugly situations because it is my responsibility to ensure Security and safety for the entire people of the State.”

While condemning the attack, a southern Kaduna group, Centrum Initiative for Development and Rights Advocacy wondered how such an attack could take place for several hours, yet the security agencies were not avail to apprehend the attackers.

CEDRA’s spokesman, Dr. John Danfulani, said the attack was nothing but a gradual genocide and extinction of the people of the Southern part of the state.

He noted that the state government and its agents were just playing politics with the insecurity in the area and warned that the patience of the people of the area was fast running out.

Danfulani said, “We condemn in strong terms Friday night’s killings that took place in Ungwan Gata, Me-Sankwai and Tekum villages by suspected Fulani herdsmen in Moro’a Chief of Kaura local government area.

“The said killings in three villages ran up to early hours of Saturday and at the end over 100 innocent Southern Kaduna villagers/peoples were butchered and killed by the assailants with impunity. It is gradual genocide and extinction.

“It is clear that the state government and their agents are only playing politics with the insecurity ravaging Southern Kaduna region. They should know that posterity will judge them and they have began journey into political wilderness as blood of our helpless villagers is on their heads.”

6 die in stampede at immigration employment tests venues across Nigeria

The Nigerian Immigration Service decided to conduct a test for 3,000 vacant positions and the number of Nigerian Youths that went to the various test locations was overwhelming! Above is a collage of the crowd at the respective venues of the Immigration Service Test carried out in stadiums across the country this morning.

The Abuja stadium which is to sit not more than 60,000 people had well over 80,000 youths and only one entrance to the stadium was opened for the applicants. It's being reported that at least six people died during a stampede at some of the venues of the poorly coordinated test. The dead are mostly from the Abuja venue. I hear a pregnant woman was among the deceased.

The dead applicants have been taken to the National Hospital Abuja morgue. May their souls rest in peace...Amen.

It's important to note that these applicants paid N1,000 registration fee and there were over 2 million applicants...you do the calculation, that's about N2billion. We need the Minister of Interior and Comptroller General of Immigration to address what happened today. Continue to see more pics..

Mother, three children die after eating bowl of hot amala

Tragedy has occurred in Isua Akoko,  in Akoko South East  Local Government  Area of Ondo State, as a woman and her three children lost their lives after eating a meal of yam flour (amala).

A member of the family, Hon. Adesina Ayodeji, told newsmen on Friday that the woman, whom he simply identified as Mrs. Folorunso, bought the yam flour from Isua Market and used it to prepare the meal for the family on that fateful day.

Ayodeji said shortly after taking the amala, the nine members of the family who ate from it became unconscious and  were immediately rushed to the Local Government Health Centre by neighbours, where first aid was administered on them.

He said that one of the children died at the health centre and on the same day, when their case was not improving, they  were rushed to the  State Specialist Hospital, Ikare-Akoko. He said the victims were later taken to a private hospital in Ikare Akoko where they were attended to before  another child died.

According to him, the rest of the victims were referred to the Federal  Medical  Centre, Owo, for renal diagnosis as the suspected poison was said to have damaged their intestines and kidneys.

It was gathered that the family decided to seek spiritual help when medical intervention failed to improve the situation and the victims were said to have been taken to a church for prayers, but the development resulted in the death of another child.

The father of the deceased children, Mr. Abiloye Folorunso, and four other children reportedly survived the food poisoning.

The Public Relations Officer of the Ondo State Police Command, Mr. Wole Ogodo, said he was aware of the incident but had not been officially informed by the Isua Police Division.

He said, " I am aware of the incident by hearsay but I have not been formally briefed by the Divisional Police Station in Isua Akoko up till now."
